Secret Garden Tours
Special Member-Owner ONLY Events
Many interesting and worthy Buffalo gardens are off the beaten track of the annual Garden Walk. Similarly, for thos of us who are on the Garden Walk each year, we rarely have the opportunity to visit the special gardens of our neighbors.
Urban Roots is pleased to offer our member-owners the opportunity to visit a few of these gardens this summer Secret Garden Tour series.

Liz Lipsitz June 29
The first tour will be at the garden of Liz Lipsitz. As our plant and garden specialist in residence, Liz is responsible for selecting many of the special plants we offer for sale at Urban Roots.
This garden was begun 20 years ago and includes hundreds of different varieties of perennials, annuals, shrubs, vines and trees. Many mature specimens are here, while new plants are constantly being introduced. It is a garden for all seasons, with continuous bloom from first thaw in the spring until snow cover in winter, as well as consideration for winter interest beyond the time of bloom. Early summer is a time for shrub roses, clematis, many perennials and annuals. Liz invites us to spend and hour or so in her garden, a quiet oasis in the midst of a busy urban setting.
More garden tours coming up in July, stay tuned.
