Fall Festival & Plant Swap
Urban Roots hosted our First Annual Fall Festival and Third Annual Fall Plant Swap took place on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the store. The event was well attended and celebrated Gelato G’s move into the second store front. Check back in for photos of the event soon.

Celebrate Buffalo and Western New York’s fall harvest, enjoy fun projects for children and families early in the day and wine, cheese, and gelato tasting for adults in the evening.
First Annual Fall Festival
11am-4pm Saturday, October 6, 2007
Revel in the glories of fall: pumpkins, gourds, apples, straw bales, and scarecrows. Art projects for children and families
- 11am-4pm – Pumpkin painting and leaf rubbings
- 11am-4pm – Third Annual Fall Plant Swap
- Noon-2pm – Building a Mini-Terrarium – with the Buffalo Science Teachers Network. The terrarium can qualify as a portfolio project done for Buffalo Public Schools Life Science requirements
- 2pm-4pm – Carve ceramic tiles – to be permanently placed in the park next door to Urban Roots with artists Nancy Gabriel and Cynnie Gaasch
Fall Wine & Cheese Tasting Party
7pm – 9pm Saturday, October 6, 2007
- Music by John and Mary
- Wine tasting by Niagara Landing
- Seasonal gelato by Gelato G, our new neighbor, varieties will include pumpkin, ginger spice, apple pie
