Matt Bille

Matthew Bille is a member of Urban Roots’ Advisory Council

Matt has long experience working for local grocery stores: Budweys, Wegmans, Feel Rite Fresh Market and the Lexington Coop. Matt has not only been employed as a department head but has been involved in the grand opening of three Fresh Market locations; coordinating new product selection and implementing an independent sales flier program while operating as sales manager for eight local Feel Rite locations.

As Head Buyer of Perishables at the Lexington Coop, Matt coordinates all buying and operations for the produce, floral and supplement departments. He developed the supplement department from less than 50 items to over 1500 and buys perishables directly from over 25 different local farms, produce wholesalers, and greenhouses. Matt was instrumental in the planning and merchandising of the new Lexington Coop, and has been a major voice on the management team as they work towards the successful implementation of their business plan.

Matt lives in North Tonawanda with his wife, Michele, and their two boys, Alex and Ryan. He owns and manages nine apartment units and is a licensed real estate agent with MJ Peterson.
