Harvey Garrett is a member of Urban Roots’ Board of Directors.
Harvey is the Executive Director of the West Side Community Collaborative (WSCC). He has 20 years of corporate high tech experience and strategic planning background, along with four years of national award-winning neighborhood preservation experience. |
In addition to his work with the WSCC, Mr. Garrett is on the board of Buffalo’s West Side Neighborhood Housing Services, and is on the Buffalo Preservation Coalition Board, Olmsted Park Conservancy Advisory board, Massachusetts Avenue Project Board, Daemen College Advisory Board, Buffalo State College Service Learning Advisory Board, Graycliff Conservancy Board, Service Learning Coalition of Western New York advisory board, Buffalo Jobs Initiative board, and is the Niagara District Housing Court Liaison.
Harvey was recently recognized by the Buffalo News as one of their 2005 Citizen’s of the year for his neighborhood reclamation efforts on Buffalo’s West Side. In 2006 Artvoice Publications awarded Harvey Community Activist of the Year.
